Left the house @ 8:45am & mentioned my Hospital Bag to Zee just in case I did go into labor. After a long ride to the hospital and many yawns later….
… Headed straight to Clinic 2, directed to Clinic 3 to meet Nurse Kumar who immediately started taking vital stats and did a urine analysis for infection, Negative…..Another Hooray!
Then came the wait in between frequent runs to the loo and a rude inconsiderate pregnant ninja lady who slumped her sloppy flabby self on the chair right beside me shocking my baby. Bitch, Burn in Hell!I just shifted seats and ignored her sorry arse after giving her the meanest, most disgusted pregnancy hormone glare, ‘For petes sakes where’s your grace lady, aren’t you the one who previously gave birth in your Sudanese stylized toilet.’
Next came the call to the doctors office and I hurried on without calling Zee, they (the dreaded midwives & nurses said it will only take a minute, lesson learnt, never trust midwives again), Anyways, the doctor just opened my legs and insisted consistently that I lay still and not stress or contract my body. Then came the speculum and the horrible, I’m gonna die pain.
After the howling and yelling, I was almost dizzy and about to collapse from the agony, before the doc stopped all procedure and got sweet talking (well, that’s what she should have done in the first place itself)…Another 5 mins and the procedure was over because by now my poor va jay jay had gotten used to that cold metallic speculum. Stitches were cut with some scissors and the last pull pricked me like a knife cutting into my skin…I vocalized Loud & Clear a big Ouch!
After this graphical experience, doc checked the position of the baby and said that I am about 1cm dilated. I took my latest prenatal appt. for exactly 2 weeks later, paid Dhs. 250/- Each for cerclage removal and our lil’ pep talk with Dr. Dinesh the anaesthologist.
I then hogged onto some egg sandwiches and had some strawberry milkshake and water while sitting in the huge contraction monitor chair. Surprise, Surprise: 1 Free CTG Test is INCLUDED in the ANC Package.
Rec’d the contraction report which Doctor checked & reported “All Good,” to the alarmed and enthusiastic nurse who then let me off with some precautionary signs to look out for and predicted that I’d spot for a day!
Next appt: 6th Sept 2011 (If I make it that far!)Agenda: Watch Epidural affects vdo’s in order to survive labor.Update: Continue all Meds & Spotting stopped after a day!
